Kami Hawks
Academy Piano Instructor
Kami grew up in Napa Valley, CA and began piano lessons at 4 years old. She was the youngest student her piano teacher had ever taught but was enthralled with the piano and the joy of creating music from the start. She continued in private lessons for 14 years achieving certification through the Music Teachers Association of California
- Advanced Piano Certificate of Merit.
She became a certified school teacher in 2002 and taught public school for a decade ages ranging kindergarten to high school. She melded her love of education and love of music in 2009 and began teaching piano students of her own. She has taught various classes in homeschool groups, piano, and music theory ever since. Kami's passion for teaching music stems not only from a life long love of music but also a desire to nurture students in their academic, emotional, and spiritual growth through their music. She has a gift for meeting a student in their own learning modalities and tailoring her teaching to individual students. She is excited to join the staff of Milton | Pace Music Academy with a whole hearted belief in the institution's mission.
