Ms. Ann Leffard
Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Ann Leffard, and I huge lover of music! I am a music educator with 41 years of teaching experience. I earned my master’s degree in flute performance from The Florida State University, and am also the former Principal Flutist of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. I have taught private flute lessons to students of all ages throughout my career.
Music has really always been where I have felt most at home, and I know that music holds the same magic for so many children. It involves mind, body, and spirit simultaneously in an all-encompassing and fulfilling way. I have worked with children of all ages through my music education career, pre-k through college-age. I was a band director for 18 years of my teaching career, so I have helped many flutists as well as other instrumentalists succeed in large and small ensembles, as well as solos.
I am a flute specialist, and can help your young flutist from the beginner stages through advanced and into college. I also am qualified to teach the wind band instrument to beginners (flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and baritone). I can help your student get a great start their first year to give them a solid foundation for success!
